WATCH: Lou Dobbs is Very Excited About the Possibility of Donald Trump Creating the Patriot Party

Donald Trump has the support of a fair amount of Republicans. He doesn’t have 96% like he often claims, but he did receive 74 million votes. Still, anything less than 100% percent support isn’t good enough for Trump. The former President is reportedly looking to create a new political party.

The idea of the Patriot Party, as Trump calls it, is music to Democrat’s ears. Splitting the Conservative vote would make Democrats competitive in every single political race. Lou Dobbs, though, thinks its a great idea.

The Fox Business host told viewers on Wednesday, “What form that takes, well, a lot of rumors are swirling already. His comments come as there are reports that he is considering the possibility of establishing a new political party to further the Trump agenda. As I say, these are rumors and, of course, they’re being reported now by not only Lou Dobbs Tonight but other outlets as well. Many are hoping that he will do something very much akin to that, because his influence could be positive, and it could be broad and powerful across the body politic.”

Dobbs continued:

“President Trump saying he would like to name that party — if he, indeed, does create it — the Patriot Party. Personally, I think that’s got a great ring to it, don’t you? According to the most recent Gallup poll, President Trump continues to have strong support from the Republican Party base, leaving office with 82% approval among Republicans.”
