The Republican party has a severe problem with women voters. Donald Trump is a huge part of this problem. Polling shows that Trump is massively unpopular with women voters. This was obvious during the 2018 Blue Wave election that was largely driven by females.
And the attempts to bring these women voters back into the fold have not gone well. Just this week, Donald Trump was mocked for telling supporters that he’d “get their husbands back to work.” And then today, the embattled Lindsey Graham told women that they’d always have a place in the country as long as they were “pro-life.”
The South Carolina senator is in a desperate race against Democrat Jaime Harrison. Graham has been lampooned for his constant requests for money to help him in his race.
He told supporters during a rally, “I want every young woman to know that there is a place for you in America if you’re pro-life – if you embrace the religion – and follow traditional family structure; that you can go anywhere young lady.”

These statements are very similar to ones Graham recently made during a debate with Jaime Harrison. He said in early October, “I am asking every African-American out there, look at my record. I care about everybody, if you are a young African-American, an immigrant, you can go anywhere in this state, you just need to be conservative not liberal.”
