Lindsey Graham is claiming that if Joe Biden goes through with his plan to remove troops from Afghanistan, he will be paving the way for another 9/11.

The South Carolina senator shared a long friendship with the now president. That friendship, however, ended when Graham became one of Donald Trump’s fiercest supporters. And in his role as Trump’s lapdog, the GOP lawmaker has now become one of Joe Biden’s fiercest critics.

Graham discussed Biden’s foreign policy aims during a Tuesday night interview with Sean Hannity. He told the Fox News host, “To all of you who are listening, you remember where you were at on September 11, 2001. Our military told President Biden that if you withdraw all of our forces, Al Qaeda and ISIS will come roaring back, Afghanistan will disintegrate into civil war. And we can avoid all of that by having 3,000-5,000 American forces making sure that ISIS and Al Qaeda never come back to hurt us. He rejected that advice.”

The senator continued, “I think Joe Biden on foreign policy has been completely incompetent and destabilizing. What he’s done with the Iranians is a threat to everything we’ve accomplished in the Mideast, I just hope and pray that I’m wrong, but I know what was going to happen in Iraq and Afghanistan is going to be worse.”

Graham closed his comments, “Afghanistan is going to deteriorate pretty rapidly, Al Qaeda and ISIS are going to come back. He’s paving the way for another 9/1.”
