After years of waiting, Donald Trump is facing a trial in New York City, and he is not happy about it. Trump is particularly concerned about the jurors who will decide the case and has asked for unusual concessions on how they are selected.
Despite having a gag order placed on him, the former President reposted a conspiracy theory about the jurors in his case. On Wednesday night, Lawrence O'Donnell laid out his theory on how the former President will try to intimidate the jury pool.
The message Trump reposted read, "They are catching undercover Liberal Activists lying to the Judge in order to get on the Trump Jury."
The MSNBC host began:
"What Jesse Watters is referring to there are the jurors – the seven who have already been officially seated on that jury. That’s who he’s referring to. And he’s saying they have lied their way onto the jury. Donald Trump is endorsing that. Those words are the same as Donald Trump writing them himself. That was Donald Trump’s choice to violate his gag order tonight, possibly in the very worst way. In fact, definitely in the worst way he has violated this gag order so far."
O'Donnell continued, "this is by Donald Trump, by any interpretation, juror intimidation. This is specifically aimed at intimidating the seven people already seated on that jury and anyone else who might be seated on the jury, that when you’re seated on Donald Trump’s jury, you will be attacked, you will be publicly attacked by Donald Trump and his allies in the news media
