Lauren Boebert has decided that the best way for her to move her career forward is to be as racist as possible. And her number one target has been Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.Like a comedian crafting a joke, the Colorado lawmaker has been adding features to her racist slams over the last few months. Patriot Takes outlined the evolution of the slurs in a recent tweet.
In June the Colorado Rep told voters, “I did see Ilhan Omar the other day and I said, ‘oh cute, the Jihad Squad decided to come into work.'”
Then in September, she expanded the story to claim that she said it when Omar was present. “One of my staffers, on the first day or work with me, got into the elevator at the Capitol. In that elevator was Ilhan Omar. And I said, ‘lookee there, it’s the Jihad Squad.'”

Then the story in November added the fearful Capitol Police Officer. Boebert boasts that she told the cop not to worry, Omar doesn’t have a backpack.
Of course, Omar says that none of these stories are actually true. She tweeted in late November, “Fact, this buffoon looks down when she sees me at the Capitol, this whole story is made up. Sad she thinks bigotry gets her clout. Anti-Muslim bigotry isn’t funny & shouldn’t be normalized. Congress can’t be a place where hateful and dangerous Muslims tropes get no condemnation.”
