WATCH: Kyle Rittenhouse Thanks his Fans From his Jail Cell

Last week, a 17 year-old named Kyle Rittenhouse shot 3 people killing two of them. The teen, a fan of Blue Lives Matter and Donald Trump, has become a celebrity in Conservative circles. Trump even said that the shootings were in self defense, despite the fact that Rittenhouse’s first victim was shot in the back.

The alleged shooter is being represented by lawyers Lin Wood and John Pierce. On Wednesday, Pierce continued to push the Rittenhouse as a celebrity angle by having the teen “thank his fans” from his jail cell.

Pierce posted a video to his Twitter of him speaking on the phone with the 17 year-old. A cameraman says, “Guys, what do you want to say to the foundation and all the people that have supported our effort to free Kyle? We have Kyle Rittenhouse direct from county jail.”

Over speakerphone, Rittenhouse says, “I just wanna thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart for the underlining support.” He continues, “I just want to thank all of you for the mail I’ve been receiving. It’s been really helpful. I just want to let you all know that I’m going to be out of here soon. I hope to see you guys soon.”

Pierce concludes the video, “This is 100% self-defense. If this is not self-defense for Kyle Rittenhouse under these circumstances, then no one can protect themselves, no one can protect their family, and no one can protect their country.”
