Kamala Harris had quite a bit of work experience prior to becoming Vice President of the United States. She was the Attorney General of the nation’s largest state for 6 years. Prior to that, she was the District Attorney for San Francisco. And after her legal career, Harris became one of the country’s 100 Senators.

None of that work experience, however, is relevant according to Kellyanne Conway. According to the former Special Adviser to Donald Trump, Harris should focus on topics like children and education.
During a Monday appearance on Sean Hannity’s show, Conway claimed:
“But seriously speaking, a couple things. It’d be so easy for the Vice President of the United States — a female at that — to take on children. To say, I’m going to do something on education, the drug crisis — stuff where America will say, OK, great. That’s a nonpartisan issue where you can get bipartisan support. She doesn’t even try. They gave her a Russian title to work on the southern border. She’s the border czar and she went one time. Her boss has gone no times.”
Conway seems to want to connect Harris to topics that are traditionally addressed by the First Lady. Harris is not the First Lady, however, she is the Vice President of the United States and will be focused on the particular duties of that job.
