WATCH: Kari Lake Claims To Have Already “Found Fraud” In Her Election — Before The Primary

Kari Lake wants to be the next Governor of Arizona, and she’s been operating with the same bag of tricks Donald Trump used in 2020 — including claiming fraud before the first votes are even cast. Her latest claims come as a series of polls come out with ambiguous results.

Is there a conflict of interest inherent in a poll being run by a close relation of a member of the campaign? According to The Center Square, a poll that shows Lake leading by 11 points happens to have been carried out by Data Orbital, by a pollster, George Khalef, whose father is the treasurer on Lake’s camapign. An alternative poll showed Lake and one of her primary opponents, Taylor Robson, tied — this poll was commissioned by Robson.

Still, the polls don’t look bad for Lake — RealClearPolitics, averaging together the outcome of major polls, still gives her more than an 8 point advantage.

Perhaps Lake is less sure, though, of the eventual outcome — because she’s claiming to have already found fraud in her election, even though her primary isn’t until next week.

In the 2020 election, Trump did the same — declaring mail-in ballots to be a source of cheating, and insisting the election would be ‘rigged’ even before voting began. Ultimately, his election rhetoric is widely deemed to have done him harm, convincing an unknown number of his supporters that they shouldn’t use absentee voting (in the height of a pandemic) or that it wasn’t worth bothering to vote at all.
