WATCH: Kamala Harris Takes Her Message to Church in North Carolina

Vice President Kamala Harris was back in the Helene-battered battleground state of North Carolina on this weekend, literally taking residents to church on Sunday with her message of joy amid assurances that her administration won't forget about them.

On Saturday, the Vice President visited areas impacted by Hurricane Helene and helped pack diapers and other items with relief workers.

Hilariously, her opponent, who held a disastrous rally in California Saturday night, said the Vice President "hasn't gone to North Carolina" while she was physically in the state for her 19th visit since becoming the Democratic nominee in late July.

On Sunday morning, the congregation at Koinonia Christian Center Church in Greenville stood and cheered as Vice President Harris took the stage, telling them “It does my heart and soul good” to be there.

Speaking about the devastation left by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, the Vice President addressed rampant social media rumors being spread by MAGA Republicans, saying they're “trying to gain some advantage for themselves.”

“The problem with this, beyond the obvious, is it’s making it harder to get people life-saving information if they’re led to believe they cannot trust” those trying to help, Vice President Harris said.

After church, the Vice President sat down with Roland Martin to talk about her economic plan and how it would benefit Black men.

The Vice President continued her busy day in Greenville with another packed rally where attendees lined up for hours in advance to squeeze into the 8000-seat capacity venue.
