WATCH: Kamala Harris Shares Phoenix Rally Stage With Los Tigres del Norte

Vice President Kamala Harris brought the treats with her to Phoenix on Thursday for a Halloween campaign rally where she was joined by Grammy-winning norteño band Los Tigres del Norte.

The popular Mexican band’s support for the Vice President comes as no surprise, considering they've always publicly supported Democratic candidates during U.S. presidential elections. In the past, Los Tigres has endorsed Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, using their platform to get Latinos to get out and vote.

The Latino vote has become increasingly important over the last few decades. This year, an estimated 36.2 million Latinos are eligible to vote, up from 32.3 million in 2020, according to statistics.

But in the last few days before Election Day 2024, the Latino vote has become a major talking point thanks to a racist joke about Puerto Rico made by "comedian" Kill Tony at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally on October 27th.

The controversy around that incident has resulted in an outpouring of additional support from the Latino community for Vice President Harris, who was at the same time coincidentally sharing her plans for Puerto Rico's path to statehood while giving Puerto Ricans living in the United States more financial help to start businesses.

On Thursday, the band known as "The Voice of the Pueblo" got the Phoenix crowd warmed up for the Vice President, whom they immediately backed after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.

“Now we can realize the dream that we all want, and that she will be elected on this occasion, for various reasons,” leader and lead singer Jorge Hernández told Billboard in July. “We invite you to vote, those who can vote, and make their own decision. We will be fighting at any time to continue communicating to the whole nation the great importance of voting.”
