WATCH: Kamala Harris Promises An End to the War in Gaza

One of the biggest reasons many voters remain undecided on Election Eve is the war in Gaza, with the blame placed squarely on President Joe Biden's shoulders as he attempts the delicate negotiations to bring peace to the region.

At a rally in Michigan on Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris vowed to the Arab-American and Muslim-American communities that she would do everything in her power to end the war once she's elected President.

Michigan is home to about 240,000 registered Muslim voters, a majority of whom voted for Joe Biden in 2020. However, the Arab-Americans and Muslim-Americans in the state have expressed dissatisfaction over the Vice President's stance on Israel’s war on Gaza.

While the Vice President has fielded her share of criticism over the war in Gaza, with anti-Israel protesters disrupting her rallies, her power is currently limited by the parameters of the office. Vice President Harris, who is far more progressive than President Biden, has repeatedly declared that her administration would differ from his.

Political prognosticators believe that one of the first actions Vice President Harris would take as President is cutting off military aid to Israel. Speaking at the Michigan State University campus before many first-time voters, Vice President made a promise that Donald Trump never would.

“I want to say this year has been difficult, given the scale of death and destruction in Gaza and given the civilian casualties and displacement in Lebanon,” VP Harris said.

“It is devastating, and as president, I will do everything in my power to end the war in Gaza, to bring home the hostages, end the suffering in Gaza, ensure Israel is secure, and ensure the Palestinian people can realize their right to dignity, freedom, security, and self-determination.”
