Vice President Kamala Harris continues to rake in donations as well as dozens of endorsements from Republicans and other influential sources just a handful of weeks before Election Day.
Former Arizona GOP Senator and Turkish Ambassador Jeff Flake announced his support for Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, on Sunday, tweeting both a written statement as well as a video touting their accomplishments.
Flake says that he "wanted to support a presidential candidate who represents a new generation of leadership based not on grievances of the past, but hope for the future.”
“I’ve served with Kamala in the U.S. Senate. I’ve also served with Tim in the House of Representatives. I know them. I know firsthand of their fine character and love of country,” his statement reads.
Flake previously endorsed Joe Biden for President in 2020 and served as the ambassador to Turkey under the Biden administration before stepping down earlier this month. He also famously was confronted during Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
Flake joins former GOP Rep and fellow Trump critic Liz Cheney, and her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, who also said they would vote for VP Harris, along with hundreds of former GOP White House staffers and National Security Advisers.
Vice President Harris also received an endorsement from The New Yorker on Sunday. “In every arena, there is little question that a Harris Presidency promises far greater sanity and far greater humanity," they tweeted, linking to their endorsement warning against a second Trump presidency.
