WATCH: Josh Hawley's 2024 Opponent Why the Republican Can't Just Be Normal

During an appearance on MSNBC Friday afternoon, Democratic candidate for a Missouri Senate seat Lucas Kunce discussed his opponent Josh Hawley's odd behavior.

Like Donald Trump, J.D. Vance and many other Republican lawmakers, Josh Hawley is an extremely weird human being. His weirdness was on full display this weekend when he attempted to accost Kunce at the Missouri State Fair. Not only was the Republican's behavior odd, so was his decision to post the video online.

Kunce spoke with Nicolle Wallace about Hawley on Friday, noting that he is just trying to get his opponent to debate:

"We've agreed to the five televised debates. He's sort of coming up with different stunts. Like, let's have a debate on the state fairgrounds. The state fairgrounds asked us not to do that, and said, 'No, you're not welcome here.' Then he wanted one of his endorsing organizations to host one, which violates federal election laws. Couldn't do that. Like, I don't know why the guy can't be normal and agree to do the five televised debates as offered. I offered one on Fox News. He seems to be interested. It should be a safer space for him."

The Democrat then pointed to one of the biggest difference between the two, his impressive record of military service, "I was a marine for 13 years. Deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. You'd get in a lot of trouble if you ran away from the enemy back in the day."
