WATCH: Jon Stewart is Giddy Over the Start of Kamala Harris' Campaign

Jon Stewart couldn't hide his delight at how well things have begun for Kamala Harris' presidential campaign during his Monday night broadcast.

For several months before he dropped out of the race, Stewart would talk about his concerns about Joe Biden's age. While those concerns opened the comedian up to criticism, Stewart stayed on his message and eventually would look vindicated by his talking points.

Stewart had a semi-retirement and wasn't regularly on the air during the 2016 and 2020 presidential races. With Harris now running for the Democrats, though, the comedian seems to be right where he wants to be.

The Daily Show host first showed viewers a montage of figures claiming that Joe Biden was staying in the race no matter what. He then remarked, 'Listen man, the pundits said it couldn't happen, but it did happen! And the Republicans are not very happy about it!"

Stewart then played a series of clips of Republicans complaining about the success of Harris' start, calling it a coup. He continued, "But I get it. If I thought I had this thing in the bag and that you were going to going up against old Joe Biden and  they pull this, I'd be like, 'Ref! Ref! Open your eyes! How can you see they're not couping?! They're couping!'"

The host closed the segment by offering those Republicans unhappy by the current events with an alternative, "I do understand that they're upset. It makes sense. So how about we do this. Out of fairness. I'm a fair person. You can replace your old guy, too."
