In a bizarre decision, the people behind the Masked Singer thought it would be ok to have Rudy Giuliani as a contestant on the show. But as soon as the former New York City mayor was revealed as a participant, two judges, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke walked off the stage. During Thursday’s episode of New Day, John Berman and Brianna Keilar broke down the odd situation.

Keilar asked contributing reporter, Chloe Melas, “Do you think the producers Chloe were going for shock value or are they just kind of ignorant to the kind of person that they were putting on?”Melas answered, “It’s all about shock value, Brianna. They want to put people on the show.”
Berman then jumped in, “You know, next week on The Masked Singer: Harvey Weinstein. The week after that: Manuel Noriega. Great job, guys. Great job. I hope the viewers that you’re attracting here are worth it to you.”
