For much of his political career, Lindsey Graham was seen as a Republican willing to work with the other side. He was especially seen as a foreign policy interventionist, deeply interested in how the US handled itself abroad.
Today, Graham is a stooge for Donald Trump, willing to forgo any of his principles to keep the former President happy. Joe Scarborough reviewed Graham's most recent actions on Thursday and ripped into the South Carolina senator for his hypocrisy.
Graham was particularly angry about Joe Biden telling Israel that the US would stop providing weaponry is he invaded Rafah.
"Oh, my god, what a hypocrite," the MSNBC host began. "What a hypocrite! Republicans sat on their hands for months refusing to give Israel aid! Republicans sat on their hands for months refusing to give Ukraine aid. Republicans sat on their hands for months refusing to give Taiwan the aid it needed to push back the Communist Chinese from invading their island. for months!
Scarborough continued, "Stop lying! Stop lying. I know it's hard because Donald Trump wants you to say things like that. I support Ukraine. I support Ukraine.' Then Donald Trump says, 'Don't support Ukraine,' and his hound dog barks, 'Don't support Ukraine,' he goes 'I don't support Ukraine no more, we're going to lease them weapons."
The host closed, "What is he doing? Does he really think we're that stupid? They were the ones holding up support for Israel for months, and, now, he's doing the Jimmy Swaggart routine, crying and being self-righteous? We know what happened! Come on, Lindsey! We may have been born at night, Lindsey, but we weren't born last night."
