WATCH: Joe Scarborough Seemingly Takes a Shot at Meghan McCain, Then Denies It

Meghan McCain has spent most of the week coming off as spoiled and entitled. Earlier this week, she called on Joe Biden to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci because she was having trouble getting a vaccine shot. Most states are vaccinating the most vulnerable people first before making shots available for all.

WASHINGTON, DC – JULY 12: MSNBC ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Joe Scarborough (R) and Mika Brzezinski are interviewed by philanthropist and financier David Rubenstein during a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics event in the McGowan Theater at the National Archives July 12, 2017 in Washington, DC. Scarborough and Brzezinski, who are engaged to be married, were recently attacked by President Donald Trump on Twitter, where he called the hosts ‘Psycho Joe’ and ‘low I.Q. Crazy Mika,’ among other personal insults. (Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

Still, McCain has doubled and tripled down on her criticism of Fauci. On Thursday morning, Joe Scarborough seemingly took a shot at the Conservative pundit during his broadcast. But he later denied that the criticism was pointed at McCain.

Scarborough said this morning:

“The amount of tape that is out there on the lies, the missteps, the sheer idiocy, the false claims, the sunny predictions, bleach recommendations, hydroxychloroquine, it goes on and on forever. It is fascinating there are still Republicans trying to attack Dr. Fauci and twist his words out of their proper context — even some I will say now, quote, mainstream Republican commentators who may have even been a little more careful in the past. They’re trying to go after a guy who actually was the voice of reason through this entire process.”

With his nod to mainstream Conservatives who were going after Fauci, many assumed the MSNBC host was referring to McCain. Raw Story asked if the host was specifically talking about The View co-host. Scarborough simply replied, “Nope.”
