Since the day Donald Trump was kicked off of Twitter in January of 2021, Conservatives have been desperate for an alternative. There have been plenty of tries. But sites like Parler and Telegram have not succeeded in creating a true competitor.

Trump flak Jason Miller hoped to change that with his site called Gettr. And the site seemingly got a boost recently when popular podcaster Joe Rogan joined up. But almost as soon as he did, the comic slammed the site as “phony.”
Rogan joined shortly after Marjorie Taylor Greene was booted off Twitter. He told followers, “Just in case sh*t over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well. Rejoice.”
The podcast host said during a segment on Tim Dillon’s show, “I might be part of the Chinese Communist Party now, I believe. Well, the news story is their fucking amount of people that signed up increased by 1,150% or something.”
After Dillon responded that Rogan now has 9 million followers on Gettr, Rogan noted, “Yeah, it’s not real, though. Gettr doesn’t even have 9 million people. This is where the f*ckery isThey take all my Twitter followers… and then they port those over.”
