[WATCH] Impeachment Manager Says McCarthy & Trump Are ‘Trying to Erase’ Police Heroism On Jan 6th

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has been a ubiquitous and tenacious thorn in the side of the Republican Party from the first Trump impeachment. Swalwell recounted his experiences in his book “Endgame”, and anyone who knows him should know that there’s no right-wing talking point that can faze him, nor can he be intimidated by any GOP campaigns to smear him.

Swalwell is currently engaged in a lawsuit against those who organized and spoke at the January 6th “Stop the Steal” rally that preceded the attack on the Capitol, and he has strong words for the top House Republican and the Florida Retiree.

Eric Swalwell (D-CA) questions Gordon Sondland, the U.S ambassador to the European Union, during a hearing before the House Intelligence Committee in the Longworth House Office Building on Capitol Hill November 20, 2019 in Washington, DC. The committee heard testimony during the fourth day of open hearings in the impeachment inquiry against U.S. President Donald Trump, whom House Democrats say held back U.S. military aid for Ukraine while demanding it investigates his political rivals. Swalwell appeared on “Deadline: White House” on Tuesday shortly after the Select Committee had ended its emotional opening hearing and placed the full blame of the GOP’s attempts to revise the history of the day on Donald Trump and GOP House Minority Kevin McCarthy. Swalwell said that Trump and McCarthy are leading the efforts to “erase the heroism” displayed that day by the Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police, and their loyal minions are following suit.
