[WATCH] ‘I’m Starting To Lose My Temper’: Democrat Tears In To Bill Barr After He Lies About Teargas
Attorney General Bill Barr was set on fire by Rep. Pramila Jayapal during his testimony to Congress where he tried to change the definition of things like teargas. Jayapal asked Barr to explain the use of teargas against White House protesters in which Barr replied that none was utilized. Many have pointed out that experts have contradicted Barr by saying that a chemical irritant was present in the canisters. Journalists who fell victim to the attack also gathered canisters for the purpose of proving that the “irritant” was there.
The Park Police also confirmed the use of teargas and expressed regret about not telling the truth about it. Officials of Washington D.C. also blasted the White House for not being honest about the teargas. A commander of the National Guard also disagreed with Bill Barr’s account of the removal of protesters from Lafayette Square.
Jayapal tried to get Barr to give her a straight answer but decided to move on. She said, “Let’s move on because I’m starting to lose my temper. According to sworn testimony before the House Natural Resources committee by Adam DeMarco, who was there, this was, ‘An unprovoked escalation and excessive use of force against peaceful protesters.’” Jayapal also blasted Barr about his inaction when the Michigan state capitol was overrun but armed militiamen and white supremacists while sending federal officers to Portland. Barr replied, “The Michigan authorities can handle” it.”
Many have asked if Michigan police are able to handle armed militiamen but federal police are needed in Portland. We will keep an eye on this story.
