During a recent event to promote his beer in Medina, Ohio, Hulk Hogan delved into politics, mocking Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and threatening to body slam her.
Hulk Hogan is probably the most famous wrestler of all-time, worldwide. He faced controversy in July of 2015 when a tape was released where he used the n-word. Hogan was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame for his actions, but was later reinstated after he apologized.
Hogan recently appeared at the Republican National Convention, where he was one of the few celebrities willing to speak in favor of Donald Trump. And he continued to sort of act like a surrogate for the Trump campaign.
He began, "You want me to body slam somebody? You want me to body-slam Kamala Harris? I said, do you want me to body slam Kamala Harris?! You want me to drop the leg on Kamala?"
Hogan then broke into the same kind of racist attack against Harris Trump typically levies, saying, "Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?” before raising his left hand and saying, “How,” in imitation of a stereotypical native American, or “American Indian."
The wrestler then attempted to backtrack a bit, "I’m gonna get heat for that one, brother. That was not me, that was the beers talking."
