WATCH: Harris/Walz Team Makes Legal Preparations For Trump's Election Denialism

Accepting election results was never an issue before Donald Trump's refusal to participate in the traditional peaceful transition of power after he lost the 2020 election.

Trump, who still maintains that he didn't lose to Joe Biden, is re-using his 2016 and 2020 tactics in his 2024 campaign, but the Harris/Walz team has seen it all before and is getting its legal ducks in a row should Trump contest the results in November.

The Harris/Walz campaign has been assembling hundreds of lawyers to fight election denialism across the country, an effort led by lawyer Marc Elias.

Democrats are already suing Georgia Republicans for altering voting laws in the state just in time to impact November's election. Elias is helping the Harris/Walz campaign prepare what Democrats expect to be an aggressive Republican effort to challenge votes, rules, and election results.

Many of Trump's former lawyers have found themselves in serious legal trouble for their efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Several of the "fake electors" who attempted to have falsified results entered into the legitimate vote have also faced prison time for election interference.

While MAGA Republicans continue to openly seek ways to cheat to win by obstruction in battleground states, Elias and his team will continue to beat them every step of the way. The concern is post-election violence like the country saw on January 6, 2021.

Corporate media needs to push back on the Trump campaign's attempt to control both the election results and the narrative around their denialism.
