During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kamala Harris addressed Donald Trump's outlandish lie that babies are being executed in some states after they are born.
The Vice President and Democratic candidate will make a media blitz this week and appear on various platforms. One of them is the Call Her Daddy podcast, the second most listened to podcast in the country.
Call Her Daddy has a large audience, with many female voters and the topic of abortion rights came up during the discussion. Host Alex Cooper asked the Vice President:
"I do wanna clarify something. In the debate, former President Trump claimed that some states are executing babies after birth. Can you just clarify?"
"That is not happening anywhere in the United States," Harris answered. "It is not happening and it’s a lie! Just it’s a boldfaced lie! That he is suggesting that– can, can you imagine, can you imagine!? He’s suggesting that women in their ninth month of pregnancy are electing to have an abortion. Are you kidding!!?"
The Democratic candidate continued:
"The idea that someone is not only so careless and irresponsible and reckless, but out and out lies to create fear and division in our country and thinks he should be President of the United States, standing behind the seal of the President of the United States using the microphone that comes with that, and using that voice and those words in such an irresponsible, and that’s mild, way."
