WATCH: GOP Surrogate on CNN Begrudgingly Admits Mike Pence Was Treated Terribly by Trump

After discussing the fallout from the release of files from Donald Trump's federal case, Trump supporter David Urban was forced to admit that Mike Pence was treated poorly.

The GOP is more than aware that Donald Trump does and says a lot of terrible things. Republicans, though, are long past the point of caring about what Trump does and the party will do anything they can to rationalize it.

It becomes more and more difficult to ignore Trump's actions when evidence is revealed like it was yesterday. So while Urban had to admit wrong doing by Trump, he was also furious that the information was released.

Host Jim Acosta asked, "Okay. So when Donald Trump, according to the Jack Smith filing, says about Mike Pence, ‘So what?’ Don’t you have a problem with that?" Urban responded, "Yeah, it’s bad. He shouldn’t have done it. Listen, I think it’s bad. But here’s the problem: Jack Smith shouldn’t be putting that out."

The host pushed, "I know, but you were saying that, you know, it’s the responsibility of people who stormed the Capitol, not Donald Trump when Donald Trump is saying, ‘So what?’ about his vice president and whether or not he might be-"

Urban continued to whine, "I think it’s a terrible thing for him to say if he said it. I’m not going to defend that. But what I’m saying is Jack Smith is not allowed to be doing that with the intent of affecting the election."

Notably, Jack Smith did not put out the information, Judge Tanya Chutkan did.
