WATCH: GOP Senator Fails At Explaining His Tweet About Biden’s Social Media Presence
Earlier this week, John Cornyn posted a tweet asking if Joe Biden was really in charge of the country. During a Sunday appearance on Fox News, he tried and failed to claim that he wasn’t questioning the President’s mental faculties.
Cornyn tweeted earlier this week, “the president is not doing cable news interviews. Tweets from his account are limited and, when they come, unimaginably conventional. The public comments are largely scripted. Biden has opted for fewer sit down interviews with mainstream outlets and reporters”
Invites the question: is he really in charge?

Host Chris Wallace asked, “my question, Senator Cornyn, is that helpful? To be sending out a tweet questioning President Biden’s mental faculties.
The Texas lawmaker responded, “I think there’s been a lot of confusion in the Twitterverse about that. That actually was a quote from a Politico story that I pasted into that tweet and then I simply asked a question. What I’m trying to do is reconcile the Joe Biden that we heard from on January 20th. The Joe Biden that many of us know from his previous service in the United States senate, from the Joe Biden we’re seeing now, jamming through $1.9 trillion in spending bills.”
Cornyn later said that the tweet wasn’t meant to question Biden’s mental faculties.
