Debbie Lesko isn’t quite Madison Cawthorn or Lauren Boebert, but she’s awfully close. So it would seem strange that a school would choose the conspiracy-loving Republican Rep. as a commencement speaker.

The speech, not surprisingly, didn’t go well. When she became political, Lesko was heckled and booed off the stage. The embarrassed GOP lawmaker is now claiming that the Arizona Virtual Academy made a big mistake.
Explaining what went wrong with the speech, graduate Juliana Butler remarked, “I thought it was very inappropriate, and I was honestly really shocked that that was even allowed. I don’t know who OK’d that. I have heard other commencement speakers make speeches, and they were just very motivating. Nothing to do with politics, or religion or anything. It was just about the graduates. And she seemed to not grasp that and not put that like in her speech at all.”
.@DebbieLesko @RepDLesko tried to turn a high school graduation into some sort of Trump rally this afternoon. Needless to say, the parents were not pleased & she was heckled/booed & shouted at until she left the podium.

A clearly humiliated Lesko had a different point of view. She explained, “I can deal with hecklers. But, I believe that the executive director of the school made a big mistake. Because I believe that he now taught all of those graduates that if you heckle somebody, you win.”
