WATCH: GOP Lawyer Says To Trump You Have No Case So “Let It Go”
Donald Trump has never seen a lawsuit he didn’t like. The wealth that the president inherited from his father has made it so that he could always challenge any call that’s gone against him. So it’s no surprise that he would try to sue his way out of his current election loss.
But there are also controls in place so that people who lose elections can’t just overturn legal results. Of course, Trump will still try. GOP lawyer Ben Ginsberg, who was an important part of Republican winning the 2000 election has some words of advice for Trump. He thinks that the president needs to “let it go.”
Ginsberg made the comments while speaking with CNN’s Alisyn Camerota. “I don’t want to read the president’s tweets because they’ve been labeled as misinformation,” he said. “I will summarize for you. He seems very upset about the ballots in Pennsylvania postmarked after — no, they were postmarked on Election Day but received in the three days after. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that was legal and legit. Is there a chance in Pennsylvania that the Supreme Court could reverse that?”
The lawyer continued:
“Look, there’s always a chance, but I think it’s unlikely, because that would result in the disenfranchisement of a large number of voters who simply followed the directions they were given by election administrators. It would be a valid case for the Supreme Court to consider the whole idea of extending deadlines past Election Day, but not involving this election.”
