WATCH: GOP Congressional Candidate Proposes Putting Dr. Anthony Fauci In Front Of Firing Squad

Don’t worry, a candidate for Congress tells any Secret Service members who might be listening. He doesn’t want Dr. Anthony Fauci shot until after a trial for some unnamed and imagined crime.

John Bennet is far from the first Republican to direct attacks at the nation’s top public health professional for his role in advising the president — both former president Donald Trump and his successor, the current president, Joe Biden — on the best ways for the United States to respond and protect citizens against the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, as Reuters documents, Dr. Fauci says he’s faced violent threats directly attributable to Senator Rand Paul’s misleading or outright false statements about Fauci, COVID-19, and gain-of-function research. Then, of course, there’s the Fox host who insisted that his “kill shot” remarks regarding Fauci were taken out of context.
Still, John Bennett, who’s currently the chair of his state’s Republican Party, and hopes to be a Member of Congress, may be the first to openly call for Fauci’s death at gunpoint.

“We should try Anthony Fauci and put him in front of a firing squad. Before the Secret Service, if they’re listening, I’m not advocating we kill Anthony Fauci — until he’s convicted of his crimes through a court!”
Fauci has not been accused of any crimes, but numerous conservatives have been caught up in conspiracy theories about vaccines, the origins of COVID-19, and precautions to reduce the spread, even to the extent of claiming that the entire planet engaged in a secret plot to trick people into wearing surgical masks.
