WATCH: GOP Candidate’s Campaign Ad Joins The Round Of Attacks On Ilhan Omar

Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is the current target of a series of right-wing attacks. While as a Muslim woman in Congress, and a Democrat, she’s been targeted by conservative factions throughout her time in office, this particular round started off with Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO). However, its not stopping there, as even political newcomers and hopeful candidates demonstrate their hope that joining in the attack will boost their campaigns.

WASHINGTON, DC – APRIL 30: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) speaks at an event outside the U.S. Capitol April 30, 2019 in Washington, DC. Omar and others called for “Democratic leaders Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer censure President Trump for inciting violence against Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.” (Photo by Win McNamee/Getty Images)

Today, we’re looking at an attack ad from Sigal Chattah, which actually predated the release of Lauren Boebert’s racist rant against Omar, but got less notice from a new candidate for a state office (she’s running to be Attorney General in Nevada), but as attacks on Omar have gone viral in the past week, this one is drawing new scrutiny. You can watch it below.

In the ad, Chattah claims that Democrats are “pouring money into” her race, “so they can put more criminals on the street.” She specifically takes aim at Omar, who she blames for “fanning the flames” and encouraging the “radical left” in “burning down our cities and attacking Jews in the streets.” She promises that as Nevada A.G., she’ll “stand up to Ilhan Omar, and take her team to court for defunding our police, opening our borders, and teaching our kids to hate each other based on the color of their skin.”

Chattah isn’t above jumping on the right-wing propaganda train, even playing into the “let’s go Brandon” trend, in which conservatives demonstrate the height of their wit by substituting the phrase for “F*** Joe Biden.”
