WATCH: Gaetz Acts Ridiculously Creepy, Talks About Confronting His Accusers

Matt Gaetz has largely made a joke of the serious accusations against him and continued to make light of the investigation on Friday night.

UNITED STATES – APRIL 20: Rep. Most people who are facing the kind of scrutiny the Florida congressman are would lay low and try to avoid attracting attention. Instead, Gaetz and the Marjorie Taylor Greene, another incredibly controversial lawmaker, are going on tour.

On Friday night, the duo appeared at the Villages, a Florida retirement community. The overwhelmingly Republican community provided friendly audience to Gaetz and he responded by making really creepy comments.

The Florida congressman first denied the charges against him and demanded to confront his accusers. He told the crowd, “We have a right to confront our accusers in this country. How about that? There can be no due process here if the only process due to conservative is to see leaks embroidered onto lies, then just endlessly repeated by the America last media.”

Gaetz then decided to get a little weird. “Today is my birthday,” he said.  “And I already know how CNN’s gonna report it. ‘Matt Gaetz has wild party surrounded by beautiful women in The Villages.’ So just get ready for it.”

Greene and Gaetz are set for a lengthy tour. They plan on visiting a number of cities over the next year. Unfortunately for the Florida Rep., though, his legal troubles will be following him regardless.
