WATCH: ‘Freedom Convoy’ Group Now Wants To Shut Down Super Bowl & Play Vigilante At Border

First it was just a group of folks with trucks who were upset that regulations would require vaccination against COVID-19, trying to raise visibility with a convoy protest. Now as that protest flags after accusations of criminal activity in the form of occupation the U.S. branch of the group has new goals.

For one thing, they hope to shut down the Super Bowl, cutting off traffic to the massive annual event. A poster for the event lists an array of goals: shut down the Super Bowl, get Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer fired, and force an end to mandates put in place to control the pandemic.

On their Telegram page, the group reframes this as a means of protecting children from sex trafficking, which they in turn blame on the “open border.”

That’s only the beginning though. Now the Truckers for Freedom Telegram page is promoting another plan for using big rigs — and the amount of force and power that comes with them — for vigilantism. Immediately after promoting the Super Bowl protest, they’re now calling that a ‘distraction.’

That’s right — the new stated goal is to gather on properties at the Southern Border of the U.S., and use 18-wheelers and their drivers to patrol for illegal border crossings and put a stop to them. Note how the vigilante in the video claims to have been negotiating with cartels, and declares all his plans to be Biblical.
At this point, it sounds like the group doesn’t have any single cohesive plan, just broad determination to use their trucks and take control of something.
