WATCH: Fox’s Kilmeade Pleads With Republicans To Not Impeach Trump and To “Just Let Him Go”
Just about a year ago, the House and Senate voted on the impeachment and conviction of Donald Trump. While no Republicans voted for impeachment, there were enough Democrats in the House to push the measure through. When the measure reached the senate, only one GOP lawmaker, Mitt Romney, voted to convict.

Republicans and Democrats will have another chance to vote against Trump in the coming weeks. Already, a few GOP congresspeople have said they will vote to impeach. And senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, may even vote to convict. On Wednesday morning, Kilmeade pleaded with McConnell and Republicans to refrain from impeaching Trump.
Kilmeade began, “If Mitch McConnell is such a great politician, does he understand that, as Brit Hume has said and Jonathan Swan has reported, there’s no sign the president’s lost his base, so if you actually want to build on the president’s base and bring the party in a subtle or dramatic new direction, why do it without them with only days left? It makes no sense.”
Steve Doocy: "The Congress was under attack last week. It was looted. There was a riot."
Brian Kilmeade: "So was Portland every day, and nobody cared on the left!"

The host continued, “You could say, ‘Man, we were physically in danger because of security,’ and at the same time send a message and then let the president go next Tuesday or Wednesday and then move on. Why fracture unnecessarily?”
Kilmeade was countered by co-host Steve Doocy, who said, “Brian, you’re talking about people who work in the Congress, and we’re talking about the Congress was under attack last week. It was looted. There was a riot.”
