WATCH: Fox’s Harris Faulkner Claims Hillary Clinton’s Hatred Created the MAGA Movement

In 2016, Donald Trump became the face of the Republican party. The racist, sexist and bigoted ideas Trump espoused had always been a foundational part of the GOP. But the presence of the failed businessman seemed to make people more at ease with being honest about these ideas.

Trump’s presidency ended with an insurrection on the United States Capitol. After a few years, Fox News decided that they would like to separate themselves from him. And in doing so, they want to take no responsibility for their part in his political rise. During a Friday segment on Fox News, Harris Faulkner even claimed that the MAGA movement was actually Hillary Clinton’s fault.

The Fox broadcaster told viewers, “I normally don’t blame one person for an entire moment, nor do I give them total credit, either. She was a specific case of bringing hate to a new level in this country.”

Faulkner continued:

“But with her it particularly was damaging for her to express her hate for half the country after having been in the White House for eight years when it wasn’t specifically like that. When people were really down and you didn’t kick them when they were down. You tried to help them with a better economy and saying that you understood them.”
