WATCH: Fox News’ Kennedy Asks Corey Lewandowski if He’s Drunk on Air

Prior to 2015, Corey Lewandowski was a little known lobbyist who mostly fought programs that encouraged green energy. In January of that year, though, he was hired by Donald Trump to become his campaign manager. The former lobbyist later left the campaign and was replaced by Paul Manafort.

The split between Trump and his former campaign manager, however, was an amicable one and the two men have remained friendly. Lewandowski frequently appears on cable news shows. During a Wednesday appearance on Fox Business, he was asked by host, Kennedy, whether he had been drinking prior to the segment.

Lewandowski had been noticeably slurring his words throughout the interview. At one point, Kennedy interrupted and asked, “Corey, did you have merlot with dinner.” He responded, “No, should I have.”

Kennedy took the opportunity to chide Lewandowski and also slam the Democratic nomination front-runner. “You sound a slurry,” she said. “You sound a little Biden-esque.”

The former campaign manager continued his segment as laughter could be heard from the studio. After the interview finished, Kennedy noted, “Maybe [he could use] a cup of coffee.”

Lewandowski has commonly been in the news over the past couple of weeks. One reason is that he is contemplating a challenge to incumbent New Hampshire Senator, Jeanne Shaheen (D). Lewandowski has recently said a run is unlikely.

The former campaign manager may also get involved in protecting Trump during his impeachment inquiry. Vanity Fair reported last week that Lewandowski met with the President in regards to a role on his crisis management team.
