WATCH: Fox News Host Chides Dr. Oz After Candidate Misleads About Terrible Poll Numbers

Many Republicans felt that Dr. Mehmet Oz was a terrible senate candidate for the state of Pennsylvania. The television personality was even booed when he attended a Trump rally. Still, the 45th President gave him his backing and Oz was able to pull out a win in a tight primary.

Oz will be facing off against a strong Democratic candidate in John Fetterman. And his poll numbers don’t look good so far. During a recent appearance on Fox News, Oz was chided by host Bill Hemmer after he attempted to mislead the public about his poll numbers.

Hemmer asked the candidate, “John Fetterman is not campaigning. That must be an enormous advantage for you, at least in the early stage. Seems pretty obvious. So if that’s the case, not to win a race like this would be a shocker.”

“I think I should be favored,” Oz responded. “I think I probably am.”The Fox host countered, “But that poll suggests you’re trailing significantly.”

The TV doctor tried to explain away the polling by suggesting that Republicans who are currently against him will come around. Considering how little respect he was shown at the Trump rally, though, that may not be likely.
