Earlier this week, Fox News personalities were riding high. Glenn Youngkin had pulled out a GOP victory in the Virginia gubernatorial race and Republicans generally had a great night on Tuesday.
Later in the week, though, Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill passed through congress with 13 GOP lawmakers voting for it. And the president later had a terrific jobs report.
So this weekend, Fox and Friends hosts were back to talking about their regular nonsense. During a Sunday segment, the hosts declared that children should be able to ride bikes without helmets.
Rachel Campos-Duffy whined, “They’ve been hurting the little guy from day one on this pandemic. Another example of that, by the way, is with the mask mandates. Ban the smiles from children. Ban the laughter. They can’t even hear each other.”
She continued, “It’s so cruel, so cruel what they’ve done to our children. It’s child abuse. And at this point, we know that it’s not making one iota of difference. It’s just a way to make a point to extend this pandemic.”
Pete Hegseth then weighed in, “I agree. Let ’em right their bikes without helmets too.”
