Watching Fox News, one would think all of the viewers are rich and none are working class. Because you can always count on the hosts of the network and GOP lawmakers to take the side of the big guy over the little guy.
Take Chuck Grassley, for instance. The Iowa senator recently said that it would be a moral hazard for Joe Biden to cancel out student loan debt.
This morning, Fox was outraged at Cori Bush sleeping on the Capitol steps until eviction moratoriums were lifted. Ignoring the fact that this clearly helped Republicans as well, Dana Perino lashed out.
The Fox host moaned:
“I think this story is really, really important, and the fact that the bureaucracy is making it so difficult as well. If you are a renter and you need help it is very difficult to navigate. If you are a landlord and you need help you can’t get there. Plus there are lots of complicating factors. You had Cori Bush, the congresswoman from St. Louis, she slept on the steps of the Capitol on behalf of the renters but, what about the mom and pop landlords? Who’s going to sleep on the steps of the Capitol for them?”
