Ron DeSantis has been campaigning for months in his quest to secure the 2024 Republican nomination. The tour events, though, have shown that the Florida governor is incredibly awkward in public and has trouble connecting with people. So the campaign has used his wife Casey to help to soften his image.
It turns out, however, that Casey DeSantis holds the same vile views that her husband does. And like Melania Trump, attempts to communicate with her wardrobe. As a result, some are calling her Wal-Mart Melania.
Fox News' Emily Compagno, wearing designer clothes on Outnumbered, said of the nickname, "This is why it is so repetitively disheartening to open up the paper and read what people actually think of us. Us. We are the ones who put food on our table. We earn our income. We fly the American flag. We wear clothes from where we can afford proudly, and rightly so."
She continued, "We disgust the elitist left. We disgust them by existing and by being proud of being American, being proud of being modest and humble and coming from humble beginnings and moderate ends."
Of course, the DeSantis family has almost nothing in common with the average American family who shops at Wal-Mart. They live in the Governors mansion and her husband recently signed a multi-million dollar book deal.
