Donald Trump called into Fox and Friends this morning to complain about the Democratic National Convention, but the hosts were forced to correct him after he lied about Kamala Harris and Vladimir Putin.
The 45th President has had to angrily sit in front of his TV this week and watch the Democrats pull off a heck of a convention in Chicago. And he is not happy. He called into his safe place, Fox News, to complain about the event.
At one point, Trump claimed that Kamala Harris had met with Vladimir Putin just days before Russia invaded Ukraine. There claims have already been debunked by CNN's Daniel Dale who wrote on Wednesday:
Trump’s claim is false. Harris has never met with Putin. In reality, she met with US allies, including Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky, at the Munich Security Conference in the days before Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Putin was not at the conference."
The hosts of Fox and Friends failed to correct Trump while he was still on the phone, but Brian Kilmeade would remark after a commercial break, "Yeah, just as a quick clarification, we don't have confirmation that the vice president went to Russia to meet with Putin. I know she went over to Europe right before the incursion when Russia invaded Ukraine which is still going on now."
