Each day on Fox News, the network’s anchors remind viewers that they are paying a lot of money for gas right now. There are a number of reasons for that and it is not an easy problem to fix.

Fox’s anchors and Conservative lawmakers, though, have been arguing that had the Keystone Pipeline project been allowed to continue, gas prices would get better. An ex-Obama adviser destroyed this talking point during a Wednesday appearance on Fox.
Robert Wolf, who served as an economic adviser in the Obama White House, told Sandra Smith, “I think XL is off the table. And let’s recall a few things. One, it’s the worst type of oil you can have, it’s tar sands going from Alberta to the Gulf of Mexico. It wasn’t really going to change anything to do with our oil supply. It was to export from the Gulf of Mexico.”
Smith jumped in, “Hmm. That’s debatable.” Wolf responded, “It’s not actually debatable. It has nothing to do with oilfields, it’s a pipeline and it was going to end at the Gulf of Mexico. That’s a fact, you should look it up. And with respect to President Trump … only 10 percent of it was even done under his four years.”
