WATCH: Dr. Fauci Officially Uncancels Christmas

When the COVID pandemic first hit American shores, the country was lucky to have an experienced and renowned immunologist like Dr. Anthony Fauci. Unfortunately, Donald Trump was the president at the time. And Trump was more interested in winning reelection than he was in keeping people alive.

WASHINGTON, DC – JULY 20: Top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci responds to accusations by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., as he testifies before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, July 20, 2021 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The attacks on Dr. Fauci have continued now that Trump is out of office. GOP politicians and Conservative media have already been talking about how he plans on cancelling Christmas. Today, on ABC This Week, Fauci officially uncancelled the holiday season.

Dr. Fauci told host Martha Raddatz:

“If you’re vaccinated and your family members are vaccinated…You can enjoy the holidays. You can enjoy Halloween, trick-or-treating, and certainly Thanksgiving with your family, and Christmas with your family. That’s one of the reasons why we emphasize it’s so important to get vaccinated, not only for your own safety, but for your family, but also for the good of your community to keep the level of infection down. When you do that, there is no reason at all why you can’t enjoy the holidays in a family way, the way we traditionally done it all along.”
