An angry Donald Trump complained this morning about Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris, saying that it will cost her the support of some fans.
Harris thoroughly thrashed Donald Trump during last night's debate, and somehow, his night got even worse after the event. Taylor Swift, the world's most famous musician who has legions of fans, delivered her endorsement for Harris about a half hour after the debate.
The musician delivered her endorsement via Instagram, posting a picture of herself holding one of her cats. She began by addressing a fake AI post that showed her backing Trump, calling it false.
Swift then wrote in part, "[I support Harris] because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos."
On Wednesday morning, Trump attempted to do damage control on Fox and Friends, his safe space. He said of Swift:
"I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time. She couldn’t possibly endorse Biden… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace."
After Harris' dominant performance against Trump, the polls could shift further in her direction. At this point, it is unknown how much Swift's endorsement will benefit the Harris campaign, but in a close race, it could help to tip swing states.
