Donald Trump had, by far, the most unusual presidency in American history. He had no sense of decorum what so ever. He lost members of his administration at an alarming rate. And, of course, he was the only US President to ever be impeached twice. But to hear the former president speak, you would think that everything was actually quite normal. During a recent interview with Bill O’Reilly, Trump bristled at the idea that his term wasn’t a normal one.
The former Fox anchor asked, “How does it feel to be the most controversial president in history?” Trump responded, “I don’t think I’m the most controversial. I don’t know, but I don’t think I’m – look I did a good job. I did, I think a great job.”
Trump continued by taking credit for creating the COVID-19 vaccine. Only one of the three vaccines that were developed were done so with any kind of government assistance.
The deeply insecure man finished his rant, “Somebody (he claimed they were a historian) said the other day they don’t know of any president that’s done more. I think in the end I will be judged not necessarily for controversy but because of what we did.”
