WATCH: Donald Trump Claims He is Going to Win New York State

During his 2016 and 2020 campaigns, Donald Trump toured nationwide, holding rallies in several states. Thanks partly to his legal issues, he has spent much of the last few months in courtrooms. And while he claims the case prevents him from hitting the road, he spends most of his off days playing golf at Mar-a-Lago.

The former President, despite the humiliation of being found guilty on 34 counts, thinks things are going well for him in New York. On Tuesday, he posted a video on Truth Social claiming he will win the state he lost by more than 23% in 2020.

In a video posted to Truth Social, Trump began:

"I believe that with your support, we can win the state of New York and I’m looking to win it as your presidential nominee. We are going to win New York – remember those words. I hope I’m gonna be correct. If I am, the election is over. There’s tremendous discontent in New York with hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants taking over your schools and your playgrounds, and the crime that’s happening in the city of New York and the state of New York. The lack of supervision, the lack of control, the lack of leadership, terrible thing is happening in New York. I think we can win it."

Trump would later say, "And again, we’re gonna make a big play for New York, presidential. And so get out and join us. It’s gonna be one of the greatest wins I think in the history of the state. There’s no question about it and I do believe we can do it."
