Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison has announced historic funding for every Blue State party in the country to boost down-ballot races in the final weeks before Election Day.
The nearly $2.5 million in distributions aim to help break Republican supermajorities in deep-Red States while strengthening nationwide voter outreach. It's the Party's first-ever blanket funding to all 50 states and seven territories in a single cycle.
Earlier this month, Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign transferred an unprecedented $24.5 million in donations to down-ballot Democrats, a larger sum transferred at an earlier point in the election season, which shows Democrats are investing at every level this cycle.
As part of a broader push for increased local support, the DNC has increased state party funding by 25 percent under Jaime Harrison’s tenure as Chair.
“From the school board to the White House, the DNC is doing the work to elect Democrats to office at all levels of government,” Chairman Harrison said in a press statement. “These dollars will go to reaching key constituencies, beefing up organizing operations, and giving our teams on the ground the tools they need to earn every vote in the final stretch before Election Day.”
Democrats have out-raised Republicans massively since President Joe Biden decided to leave the presidential race in late July. Vice President Harris has nearly tripled Trump’s August fundraising numbers, leaving him with just over $200 million. Conversely, the Harris/Walz campaign raked in over $300 million, pushing funds raised since she joined the race to over half a billion dollars.
