Despite a billion dollars in funding and plenty of promotion, it appears that Truth Social is another in a long line of Donald Trump’s failures. Before he was banned from the site, Trump would post on Twitter up to 200 times a day. But the former President has only posted once since the launch of Truth Social.

Devin Nunes, a close Trump confidant, left his job as a congressman to head up the failing social media site. And during a recent interview with Real America’s Voice, he tried to claim that Truth Social is actually doing well.
Nunes first complained about Elon Musk’s move to acquire a percentage of Twitter. “He’s going to a platform that’s full of thousands of people who don’t like Republicans and are very hard-core left-wing.”
The former congressman then tried to promote his site. “Not to mention, if you look at Truth Social, which continues to grow every day, you’d know one of the reasons I left congress, to reopen the internet.”
Devin Nunes is triggered and threatened this morning by Elon Musk joining twitter’s board. He wants to make sure right wingers excited about it on twitter don’t forget about him. Then he lies and claims Truth Social is getting “massive engagement.” A hype man he ain’t. pic.twitter.com/4lHOW6U1Qm

He later said, “Again, if you look at Truth Social, which continues to grow every single day, you’d know we’re just barely in the testing phase and continue to test out the process, and focus on our quality and reliability as we bring new users on. It’s every single day, John and Amanda, that we see people who have been banned from Twitter for life. We’ll be the home for those people…Truth social is already getting massive engagement.”
In fact, Truth Social is mostly overrun with bots at this point. And it was revealed on Monday that two of the site’s key employees are departing.
