In Mid-March, Devin Nunes (R-CA) filed a lawsuit against Twitter for allowing its users to mock him. He specifically called out two user accounts, Devin Nunes’ Cow and Devin Nunes’ Mom, as being specifically upsetting.
While he may have hoped for the abuse to end, his actions have only ramped it up. The Devin Nunes’ cow account rapidly added followers quickly surpassing Nunes’ number. Multiple other accounts mocking the congressman have also appeared. And yesterday afternoon, a band dressed as cows, appeared outside the White House singing songs critical of Nunes and Donald Trump.
The chorus of the song went, “I know you’re lying, you’re lips are moving, Donald and I know you’re done.” The song also featured refrains such as, “Hey Donald, you’ve got two more years, then it’s too late, too late Donald.”
Like Nunes has shown himself to be, the president is also known to be thin skinned. In a 2017 Morning Consult poll, a majority of those asked said that Trump was overly sensitive. The White House has not commented on the demonstration.
