During a recent appearance on CNN, Conservative pundit Bill Kristol advised Donald and Melania Trump to hold off on grifting until after the election is over.
When Donald Trump originally ran for President in 2016, it wasn't expected that he would actually win the Republican nomination, but it was a way to get his brand massive news coverage. Amazingly he won the nomination and the presidency, opening up his grift to a legion of fans.
Melania Trump is willing to take advantage as well. It was recently revealed that the former First Lady accepted more than $200,000 for a speaking engagement with the Log Cabin Republicans.
Kristol responded to the news on CNN's OutFront, saying:
"It's really unbelievable. When I was a Republican, I spoke at a couple functions for the Log Cabin people. I didn't know I could get $237,000. I did it for free because I was a Republican and they were a Republican group, you know? That's kind of what Republicans do. What Democrats do for Democratic groups too. I mean it really is amazing. The hucksterism, the grift."
Kristol closed his comments by saying that Melania and Donald should stop until after the election, "Does it make the best sense in the world considering the political climate Erin? Probably not."
