[WATCH/COMMENTARY] Secret Service Reveals Incident Involving Ella Emhoff's Detail

Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris, was unhurt after an incident in Manhattan involving her Secret Service detail's SUVs on Tuesday.

The Secret Service released a statement Wednesday which said an individual had approached the two parked Secret Service vehicles in lower Manhattan and damaged both back license plates.

"Secret Service Agents quickly detained the individual until local authorities arrived and placed the individual into police custody," the statement reads. "At no point was any protectee in danger as a result of this incident."

A senior law enforcement official told New York's NBC News affiliate that it is "not believed that the man knew the license plates were connected to the Secret Service detail."

He isn't believed to be a threat to any other protectee, the official told Channel 4 News. In fact, the man seems to simply be a disturbed individual with a history of parking complaints. The man has been regularly posting about his parking-related concerns on social media, the official said.

The man now faces two low-level charges by the NYPD related to the Secret Service vehicle vandalism.

Ella Emhoff, 25, has emerged as a major GenZ influencer who's fully behind her "Momala" running for President. She's recently been one of the more vocal critics of Trump's VP pick, JD "I Hate Childless Women, All Women, Cats, and Women With Cats" Vance.

She shared a photo with her brother, Cole, and captioned it “How can you be ‘childless’ when you have cutie pie kids like Cole and I?” on her Instagram Story.
