[WATCH/COMMENTARY] Kamala Harris Holds First High-Energy Campaign Rally in Milwaukee

Vice President Kamala Harris officially kicked off her 2024 Presidential campaign in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Tuesday.

In a perfect juxtaposition to the previous week's disastrous Republican National Committee in the same city, VP Harris brought her #bratsummer vibe to an enthusiastic and energized crowd.

The first moments of the VP's appearance were simply just the crowd cheering her. When she was finally able to begin her speech, the former prosecutor tore into her new opponent, the convicted felon.

“I took on perpetrators of all kinds," VP told the crowd, who kept chanting her name. "Predators who abused women, fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own game.

"So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type," she said to even louder cheers.

VP Harris made it clear just how vital important Wisconsin is when it comes to keeping Trump from returning to the White House.

"The path to the White House goes through Wisconsin," VP Harris said to the roaring crowd. "You helped us win in 2020 and in 2024 we will win again."

The Vice President also paid tribute to President Joe Biden and "his continuing service to our nation."

VP Harris also said "We have some work to do," and told the generationally diverse crowd she was eager to get to it. "I pledge to you I will spend the coming weeks to unite our party so we will win in November," she said.

Speculation continues around who the Vice President will choose as her Vice President--word is VP Harris has narrowed her choices to Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) or Democratic Governors Josh Shapiro (PA) or Andy Beshear (KY).
